The UK’s leading wooden and wrought iron gate manufacturer, Cannock Gates Limited, has launched a new website to promote its range of ‘Cannock Gardens’ garden products and accessories.
www.cannockgardens.com allows novice and seasoned gardeners alike to browse through the company’s growing catalogue of garden products. These include a wide selection of wooden and wrought iron style arbours and arches, wooden planters, handmade gazebos and wheelie-bin storage units. Customers can also choose from a range of bird care products, garden furniture, sheds and other garden buildings and structures including timber green houses and ‘grown-your-own’ frames and planters.
“We’re tremendously excited about our entry into the gardening market,” says Cannock Gates Managing Director, Colin Stead. “The new venture is an obvious extension to our core gates and railings business and harnesses the years of tradition and expertise that characterise our Cannock-based operation. And just as Cannock Gardens products are made with the same high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail as the Cannock Gates gate and railing range, so the Cannock Gardens website features the same visual appeal, accessibility and user-friendliness that has made our Cannock Gates website so successful, including the back-up provided by our knowledgeable sales team.”
Pages on the new website dedicated to cold-frames, planters and other growing aids reflect Cannock Gardens particular interest in the ‘grow-your-own’ market. “The recession has seen an upsurge of interest in self-sufficiency,” says General Manager, Julie Turnball. “We wanted to appeal to that market not only for commercial reasons but also because of its fit with our Corporate and Social Responsibility policy. Planters provide an ideal opportunity for children to grow a variety of vegetables, herbs, salads and flowers, for example, encouraging them to get outdoors and build an appreciation of how things grow and healthy eating. That’s also partly why we’re currently offering free packets of Cannock Gardens seeds with every cold frame ordered!”
The new Cannock Gardens website maintains another Cannock Gates tradition –highly successful online competitions. A prize draw competition in March to celebrate the launch of Cannock Gardens saw 20 lucky winners win prizes including pagoda top gazebos, potting benches, arbours, planters and picnic tables. In a second competition celebrating the launch of the Cannock Gardens website, customers placing orders until 30th June 2010 will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win a £50 Champneys voucher.
“And the opportunity to be a winner doesn’t stop with our first Cannock Gardens online competition,” says Julie. “Other website-based competitions will follow and there’s also an opportunity to win one of three seated arbours worth £150 in the June edition of ‘Garden Answers’ magazine if your preference is for non-electronic media.”
