It’s holiday time for Cannock Gates’ summer prize draw winner!

There’s cause for celebration at Cannock Gates, the UK’s leading wooden and wrought iron style gate manufacturer. The company’s multiple summer offers package has seen overall June and July sales rise by 8%, with particular increases in sales of gate automation kits and accessories, painting and staining services and security mortice locks for both wooden and wrought iron style gates.

“The offers included a free garden product for customers spending over £300, free automation accessories for those purchasing a gate and automation kit worth more than £1,500, free staining for timber gates orders worth over £300, free painting for wrought iron style gates orders worth over £300 and 50% off mortice locks,” says Managing Director Colin Stead.“Seeing across-the-board sales increases shows the value of making offers across our revenue streams.”

The offering of a prize draw to launch Cannock Gates summer offers has meant that one lucky household also has cause to celebrate.

"Cannock Gates traditionally offers a prize draw to mark the launch of our summer offers," says Colin Stead. "Cannock Gates June and July customers were automatically entered and prospective customers also able to enter by sending a postcard with their details. The draw was hugely successful, with over 10,000 prize draw entries."

The lucky winner of a £1,000 Co-operative travel holiday voucher was Cheshire-based Derek Riley who was picked at random from all the entries.Needless to say, Mr Riley is more than pleased that he noticed the prize draw on an online competition message board and decided to enter. “I’ve not been abroad for over a decade, so I’m extremely grateful to Cannock Gates for the chance to remedy that,” says Mr Riley. "I’d also like to say how impressed I was with the professional way that Cannock Gates has managed this competition – and have told friends and family that they’re a company to bear in mind!"

From garden gate to departure gate

One lucky online surfer has won the opportunity to try the real thing!

Mrs Tara Dewsbury from Burntwood in Staffordshire was researching gates for a new property online when her search brought her to the website of Cannock Gates, the UK’s leading wooden and wrought iron gate manufacturer.

“I wasn’t surprised that Cannock Gates’ website was so readily found by a search engine,” says Tara. “The site is excellent - very informative and really easy to understand and navigate around. I was particularly impressed with the ‘Gate Wizard’ facility which takes you through an automated five-step selection process. This allows you to set specific requirements and see product recommendations. I also liked the company’s ‘Gate Visualiser’, which enables customers to superimpose a gate image on a photograph of their property, so you can see exactly what your chosen gate might look like.”

Cannock Gates ‘Wizard’ and ‘Visualiser’ tools weren’t the only website elements that caught Tara’s eye. “I noticed that Cannock Gates were offering the chance of winning a £1,500 Thomas Cook Worldwide Travel Voucher,” says Tara. “All I had to do was complete a simple online entry form, little thinking that I would be lucky enough to be picked as the winner. When I got the call from Cannock Gates … well, that was a surprise!”

Cannock Gates had considered a number of competition options before deciding to offer a holiday related incentive. “In the end we thought a holiday-related prize draw perfect for this time of year,” says Julie Turnbull, Cannock Gates’ General Manager. “After all, it’s when most people are planning their summer holidays … and that’s also a good time to think about the security measures in place while you’re away. Cannock Gates’ gate railing and security product range are ideal for securing unattended property, providing extra peace of mind – which is obviously important when enjoying your holiday.”

“With over 20,000 entries this competition proved really popular,” says Julie, “and I would like to thank all those who took the time to enter. Cannock Gates’ website regularly features special offers and competitions, so www.cannockgates.co.uk is always worth a look, even if your need for gates isn’t immediate.”

And the last word from Tara? “I am absolutely delighted and cannot wait to book my holiday,” she says!

Prize Draw - Win Back the Value of Your Gate

Cannock Gates, the UK’s largest manufacturer of gates and railings, has this week announced the result of its October prize draw, which saw one lucky purchaser win back the cost of their gate.

During October, anyone who placed an order with Cannock Gates was put into a prize draw to win back the full cost of their order. The autumn promotion was a huge success, with 647 people entering the prize draw.  The winner was Mrs. Sirrett from Solihull.

She comments: “When I ordered my new gate, I really didn’t think I stood any chance of winning but I’m absolutely thrilled!  I chose a Cherbourne-style garden gate, as I wanted to make my garden more secure, and now, I have also made a saving of almost £500.  The gate has now been fitted and I’m delighted!”

Julie Turnbull, general manager for Cannock Gates explains: “This is the first time we have run a prize draw competition and it has been hugely successful for us.  Amid the current climate, our wide selection of gates and railings, coupled with our bespoke service offering, is proving exceptionally popular with homeowners looking to add value to their properties.

Redditch School Unveils State-Of-The-Art New Entrance

19th October 2009… Pupils and teachers at Roman Way First School were joined by the Mayor of Redditch and gate manufacturer Cannock Gates this week to unveil a state-of-the art new entrance at the school.

The school, which entered a national competition, launched by Cannock Gates, fought off competition from ten other schools across the UK, securing an incredible 74,014 votes to win the prize worth £2,000.

To mark the occasion, Malcolm Hall, Mayor of Redditch, and Elizabeth Boorer from Cannock Gates joined pupils, teachers and parents to officially unveil the new gate.

Jane Scarborough, head teacher, commented: “We are absolutely thrilled to finally have our new gate in place. Our school motto is ‘only my best will do’ and we encourage all our pupils to take pride in their school and each other. The school’s old gates simply didn’t do it justice. We have worked closely with Cannock Gates to design the perfect entrance for our school, incorporating both our school colours and motto.”

Julie Turnbull, general manager for Cannock Gates, comments: “As a Midlands based company ourselves, it’s been great to be able to support a school on our patch! As we offer a bespoke service, we have been able to ensure the school has exactly the gate they want. We hope the new gate will welcome many pupils and visitors to the school for years to come.”
