Kissing gates have been installed as part of an initiative to bring in a new easy access trail to the Blackdown Hills in Somerset, it has been reported.
It is part of the Neroche Scheme that looks to open up some of the countryside across the Vale of Taunton to everyone and the new gates have been made large enough for wheelchairs and pushchairs to go through.
Mrs Ould, who uses a wheelchair, was the first person to officially try out the new route along with her carer Anne Farley.
"There are so few parts of the Blackdown Hills that are easily accessible by wheelchair so it's a real joy to be able to come to Staple Hill to have a picnic," Mrs Ould said.
According to the initiative's organisers, the Neroch Scheme is looking to create a digital guidebook and trail guide for the project area that will use global positioning.
