Strong security at Goody's gates

There was a strong security presence at Jade Goody's recent wedding, with police manning the gates, it has been reported.

A number of journalists were not allowed inside the gates of the Down Hall country house hotel at Hatfield Heath, Essex where Ms Goody married Jack Tweedy in a hastily organised ceremony.

The BBC described the scene, saying that every car that came up to the wrought iron black gates was checked by security.

Ms Goody's publicist Max Clifford said of the ceremony: "It was a very beautiful, very moving service. They are obviously very much in love."

He added that the couple were just very happy to be there inside the gates and getting married to one another.

It was recently reported that the star, who made her name on the TV reality show Big Brother, asked doctors to end her life after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
