A hotel owner in Weston will be forced to replace gates around his business after hooligans caused high levels of damage, it is reported.
Cyril Eggington tells the Weston Mercury it was a "senseless act", with the thugs breaking through defences to cause damage to the hotel.
"The vandals kicked down the wooden fencing between our hotel and the Winter Gardens and each time we put up temporary fencing, it is knocked down again," he tells the paper.
Mr Eggington says the attack will mean he has to replace the fencing around the hotel, especially after the vandals destroyed a concrete wall outside it.
He adds that he would like iron railings to keep intruders out, which will be coupled with a CCTV network to help protect the hotel, its staff, and its residents.
Earlier this week, the Weston Mercury reported a vandalism spree in the area, with shop owners in Burham waking up to find their businesses had been attacked.
