A hotel in Chester has added a set of gates as part of a redevelopment programme, a news report has claimed.
The Chester Chronicle reported that the gates are part of the Queen Hotel owner's £15 million investment scheme.
Owner Paul Feather's redevelopment makes the hotel the biggest in Chester as it provides the business with an additional 87 rooms as well as converting an old bank building next to it.
The new gates have been introduced with a set of lighting as part of a makeover to the front of the business.
Councillor Stuart Parker of Chester City Council told the news provider: "This is a magnificent development which has helped to breathe new life into this gateway to Chester."
"First impressions are important and visitors and business people arriving in Chester will note the pride we take in our city. Our ambition is to increase visitor stay time in Chester and this superb development at the Queen Hotel will certainly encourage visitors to stay longer," he added.
The Queensferry Express reported that St Michael's church in West Lothian is to receive a new set of wrought iron gates.
