Visitors in East Anglia are now able to check out sculptures and installations in the region online first after the launch of a new web-based art trail service.
EDP 24 reports that the new project, overseen by the University of East Anglia and historian Richard Cocke, will allow people to view more than 700 famous landmarks in Norfolk and Suffolk, including Maggi Hambling's Scallop at Aldeburgh and the Fighting Bulls by J Clesinger at the entrance to Lynford Hall.
In addition, people will be able to search through the region's many regal sculptures, including the only life-size rendering of Queen Victoria in Woodbridge and the decorative metalwork on the gates at Sandringham.
"Lots of people alerted us to sculpture that we didn't know about and now we are passing on this information about wonderful objects that most of us aren't aware of," said Dr Cocke.
Racns.co.uk completed the digital archiving process in February of this year.
