Councillors have unanimously agreed that sets of kissing gates in Tenby should be replaced with a new wooden gate, the Tenby Observer has noted.
At the November Penally community council, attendees agreed that the offer made by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority to replace all kissing gates with new wooden gates should be accepted.
Installing the new gates may improve accessibility for disabled people in the area.
Other developments during the meeting included the confirmation that a path running between the firing range and the golf course has been cut back and a wooden block seat installed.
County councillor Carol Cavill also requested that brambles trailing on the wall opposite the Old Vicarage also be cut back.
Elsewhere, Braxbourne council confirmed earlier this month that it has installed a set of steel gates in an alley in the Waltham Cross area in order to deter fly-tippers who used it as a dumping ground.
