Two men wanted after attempted factory break-in

Police in Bellshill, Lanarkshire are searching for two men after an attempted raid at a factory in the area.

According to the Hamilton Advertiser, the two men attempted to gain entry to the Strockweld Ltd building in Marion Street, Bellshill Industrial Estate but were deterred after being spotted by staff.

Meanwhile, police are also on the hunt for two men who are wanted in connection with a burglary at a Hewden's Plant Hire premises.

The duo broke into the site last Thursday (November 20th) and stole various pieces of valuable equipment, which they removed from the site in a stolen 4x4 and a van.

The former was used to ram open the security gates of the site and exit the scene.

Police are asking anyone with information about either incident to report it to the local police station or contact Crimestoppers.

Earlier this week, Lincolnshire police also appealed for witnesses after a lawnmower was stolen from a container in North Thoresby after thieves took the site gates off their hinges.
