Newchapel resident devastated by dognapping

Newchapel resident devastated by dognapping

27/11/2008

A resident in Newchapel, Staffordshire has expressed her grief after thieves stole pedigree puppies and dogs from her back garden.

According to the Sentinel, thieves climbed over the garden gate and broke into an outbuilding where the animals were kept in the early hours of Saturday morning (November 22nd).

Leanne Watson, 24, of Ian Road, told the paper that she discovered that the burglars had taken three puppies and two dogs, adding that she awoke to the sound of the gate knocking banging in the wind.

"They knew exactly what they were doing because the weather was very bad on Saturday morning and they knew we wouldn't be able to hear them," she said.

Ms Watson is appealing for anyone with information regarding the dogs' whereabouts to come forward.

Earlier this month, the Cornishman reported that a beloved dog stolen by a car thief has been returned to its owner after police located the vehicle in which it had been left.
