Police appeal for info after lawnmower theft

Lincolnshire police are appealing for information after a sit-on mower was taken from a container at a site in North Thoresby on November 20th.

According to reports, intruders gained entry by taking the gates off their hinges.

Residents and businesses may be interested to know that anti-tamper hinges are available to avoid such circumstances.

Commenting on the theft, Lincolnshire police urged: "The two mowers were stolen and police are appealing to anyone living in the North Thoresby area who heard or saw any suspicious activity or vehicles overnight to call in."

Meanwhile, local police in Skegness have also called for witnesses to come forward after garden walls outside homes in Beresford Avenue were damaged.

Witnesses to the incident were urged to contact the local police station or call Crimestoppers.

In other recent developments, police in Selkirk have denounced criminals who have been stealing wooden field gates in the area, as doing so poses a threat to both livestock and passing motorists.
