Gates secured after paint attacks

Gates secured after paint attacks

26/04/2009

Alleyways in Keynsham, Bristol have been secured with lockable gates after a number of homes were attacked by someone throwing paint at them, it has emerged.

This is Bristol has reported that residents in Barnard Walk have also asked the police and local council to help secure the narrow alleyway behind their properties.

Keynsham police Inspector Tim Stuckes told the newspaper that there were crimes reported in Barnard Walk last December, so he sent an architectural liaison officer to evaluate the alleyway.

"He found there were four alleys owned by Somer Housing in the area and three were gated. His advice was - the fourth should be gated too," he added.

John Burr, a dry liner who has recently moved into the area, found white paint on a new wooden gate in his garden, the news provider revealed.

Confused.com recommended earlier this month that those who have been unfortunate enough to have been burgled should secure their home and fix doors or windows that are damaged.
