Gates and railings at a Sheffield park have received a makeover as part of an ambitious refurbishment project.
Sheffield City Council has transformed Sharrow's Mount Pleasant Park, intended to improve access and general appearance across the space's facilities.
Improvements to the entrances and railing boundaries include tree-themed artwork that welcomes people into the park.
There have also been refurbishments to pathways, seating and games areas, including a new ball stop fence, multi-use games area and graffiti wall.
Councillor Shaffaq Mohammed, council cabinet member for climate change and local environment, said the improvements have provided a park that "we can all be proud of".
He said: "We have listened to the local community to find out what they wanted and now we have delivered it.
"It's a wonderful facility for all local people now and I'm sure it will be very well used!"
Locals will be given an opportunity to celebrate the new improvements today (May 28th) with a free celebration that will include sports activities, crafts, games and a tree trail.
There will also be cricket coaching from noon and a Dr Bike on hand to carry out some cycling safety checks.
The council has also renewed the playground in Ruskin Park in Walkley, supported by a £77,000 investment from the Big Lottery Children's Play fund.
