London railings may not be the most appealing thing about the capital, but the Mayor of London has come up with a scheme to change their image.
Boris Johnson wants to install pianos around the city in a bid to encourage more musical expression.
The 31 instruments will be attached to railings at locations such as the Bank of England, Tate Britain and Natural History Museum.
Pianos will be in place for three weeks over the summer as part of the Sing London festival.
Each one will be uniquely designed depending on its location - the one on Portobello Road will be decorated with fruit and vegetables.
It is hoped people will share their favourite tunes and look after the instruments, while a tuner will visit each one to make sure they remain pitch perfect.
