Gates work for Derbyshire park?

Gates work for Derbyshire park?

25/06/2009

A new Friends of Chapel Park group has been founded in Derbyshire, the Buxton Advertiser has reported, and it may look to install some new gates.

The organisation, which is considering installing new signs on the main gates reminding users about littering and dog fouling, will look to improve the park and it is planning to enhance the football pitches at the site as well as bring in some extra floral areas, according to the local newspaper.

It has also discussed introducing a new basketball net and an interpretation board by the main gate, while new equipment for the children's play area and a new bandstand are other long-term ideas, the news provider revealed.

The publication also noted that the group will meet up again next month at the Town Hall Annex.

In other Derbyshire news, the county council is looking for people to help clean up local landmark Black Rocks.

They may be able to help improve gates at the site, as Derbyshire County Council's countryside service has come together with the Derbyshire branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England to improve the area.
