Two previous pupils at a Bolton school have donated gates to the institution to thank it for their time spent there.
Mukesh Patel and Tony Dixon, businessmen who own a sheet metal company, created the gates with Harper Green School's name and motif inlayed into it, reported the Bolton News.
Following headteacher Phil Stewart's blessing, the gates were erected at the entrance, giving the school's exterior a facelift.
Mr Patel, who was head boy, told the newspaper he noticed Harper Green needed new gates and donated the gates in order to give something back.
Mr Stewart said: "The gates look absolutely fantastic and it was a lovely gesture by the men. All the comments we have had about them have been complimentary."
Last week schoolchildren at Hagbourne School near Didcot designed some gates in memorial of the local council leader Monica Lawson.
