A petition has been drawn up asking for gates and fences to be installed along cliff roads in Newquay after two people lost their lives.
The petition, which has a sign-up deadline of July 21st 2010, is also looking to ensure that any holiday resort that encourages young people to go there has adequate policing to enforce the vigorous monitoring of IDs of young people among sellers and servers of alcohol.
Additionally, it is seeking to get such resorts to make changes to their marketing campaigns so they do not include claims such as the town being the teenage party capital of the UK.
The petition creator said that people are being asked to sign the petition for the families who have been affected by the tragedies and to stop them happening to anyone else.
It was recently reported by the Wokingham Times that the petition has collected almost 1,100 signatures.
