A dispute has arisen over some railings at Fairfield Villa Football Club's pitch, it has been reported.
The village's parish council sub-committee has told the club that the railings as well as posts and hard-standing must be put up before games and then taken down afterwards when the season starts in October, according to the Bromsgrove Standard.
Kevin Nind, vice-chairman of Fairfield Villa, told the newspaper that it was the sub-committee and its ruling that the club is disgruntled by and not the parish council as a whole.
"We told the sub-committee it would take three hours to put the posts, rails and hard-standing up and three hours to take them down," said Mr Nind.
He revealed that the sub-committee told them "to get some volunteers to do it".
In other local news, Bromsgrove District Council has launched a campaign against fly tipping, which could be prevented with the use of gates, with signs installed in the area warning of fines of up to £50,000.
