Gates at Queen Victoria Nursing Home in Burnley have been repaired in a bid to improve security at the site, it has emerged.
Police joined forces with Evans Halshaw to help improve the gates after a number of complaints about theft and antisocial behaviour had been made.
"We were extremely concerned with the problems at Queen Victoria Nursing home as they were having a very adverse affect on the elderly residents living there," commented Police Community Support Officer Alex Catterall.
Dave Spencer, from Evans Halshaw, said that the organisation was pleased to be able to help out with the gates at the home.
He added that the company values the local community and will try to help whenever it can.
In recent local news, Burnley Borough Council is inviting residents to attend a number of drop-in sessions this summer to have their say on housing in the area over the next 15 years, which may include thoughts on gates.
